We are proud to officially welcome Brian Murphy as our new National Premier League Head Coach and celebrate his recent achievements.

Although Brian’s appointment was announced in early August, he officially commenced his role on 1 November.

Brian has recently completed a Master of Science in Advanced Performance Football Coaching from the University of South Wales—making him the most qualified Head Coach in Tasmania and among the most qualified in Australia.

While a Pro Licence is recognised at diploma level, a Master’s degree sits two levels above it.

We are thrilled to have someone of Brian’s expertise leading Clarence Zebras and helping to elevate the game across Tasmania.

Brian shared:

“The last three years have been some of the toughest I’ve experienced—juggling family, work, studies, moving, and coaching. But I’m not someone who gives up when things get hard. I’ve invested in myself so I can invest in others through what I’ve learned. Nothing worth doing is ever easy.”

Congratulations to Brian on achieving his Master’s degree, and a warm welcome to him and his family as they officially join the club.
